About

Sebastian is a young Tasmanian designer working in Hobart city as a graduate architect. With a passion for all things design, Sebastian’s work explores avenues and, as a result, allows him to provide services in; art, architecture and graphic design. The series Life in Black & White is a springboard for the culmination of skills Sebastian has gathered, exploring design from both the practical and more ethereal realms of self-expression.

From the time Sebastian picked up a pencil as a child, to wood working classes in high school, to working as an apprentice on construction sites, to immersing himself in a design degree at university he continued to explore avenues in design and creativity.

Life in Black & White is the realisation that engages in the usefulness of these experiences. The pieces utilise a mix of art, craft and multimedia to produce art works that express a dichotomy of meticulous precision and whimsical intuition. Outlined in the Artist Statement [Philosophical Process], the sensitive and inviting philosophy behind the series is revealed.
